“a vital shipping connection within the Great Lakes.” On the Canada side of Sault Ste. Marie (make sure you have passports) is home of Spruce Haven Nature Park, which offers wildlife viewing, petting area, nature walks, and a picnic area. On the U.S. side is the Tower
of History, a 210-foot tower with open air decks and glassed observation areas to see the majesty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula from a unique perch.
