This Labor Day Monday, head north to participate in the 59th Annual Labor Day Bridge Walk. You and thousands of others can walk across the Mighty Mac. The event starts on the St. Ignace side and concludes in Mackinaw City. www.mackinacbridge.org

1. Tour a historic lighthouse as it undergoes restoration, the River Front Range Light in Cheboygan.
2. Find the largest elk herd east of the Mississippi by hiking through the Pigeon River State Forest, Gaylord.
3. Tour the Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, Mackinac City, or the naval ship USS Edson at the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum.
4. Get a taste of Christmas at Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, Frankenmuth.
